Hated and loved, discredited and embraced the uncertain pursuit of inspiration is an integral part of any collection. Turning to the world around them, Antonina and Nathanael’s creative direction unravels organically each season. Finding cues in the urban landscapes of Russia, France and England each garment begins with the faintest outline of fictional characters. Gathering memories from their travels and everyday encounters the design process is moulded by an ongoing dialogue between these fictional muses and their creators, a process which becomes the narrative of every Izmaylova collection.
